‘The Big Bend’ Exclusive Clip’: A Family Reunion Gets Dirty Quickly In Brett Wagner’s West Texas Drama

Punch Drunk Critics is happy to debut an exclusive clip from The Big Bend, a West Texas family drama from writer/director Brett Wagner. The critically-acclaimed film (100% on Rotten Tomatoes) stars Jason Butler Harner (Ozark), Virginia Kull (Big Little Lies), David Sullivan (Argo), and the late Erica Ash (Scary Movie 5) in one of her final performances.

The story follows two families, Prices and the Talbotts, as they meet for a reunion in the remote West Texas desert, only for the situation to escalate out of control due to long-held secrets and individual crises in one of America’s most untamed locations.

Wagner based The Big Bend partly on a personal experience involving one of his children getting lost in a national park.

In this clip, we see things getting dirty quickly as three characters indulge themselves in some of the West Texas river mud.

Here is the official synopsis: Two families meet for a long overdue reunion in the remote West Texas desert—where events quickly don’t go as planned. Harboring secrets and facing private crises, they explore one of the wildest places in America, testing the boundaries of marriage, friendship, and parenthood, and doing their best to survive the experience.

The Big Bend is available now on digital and you can get it here!
