‘The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power’ Season 3 Trailer: Sauron Forges The One Ring As War Engulfs Middle-Earth

San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H was once again transformed into Middle-Earth for Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power panel. With season three on the horizon, the first teaser was revealed, and it’s clear that this will be the darkest chapter of the story by far.

Attending the panel were showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay alongside cast members Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Owain Arthur, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charlie Vickers, Daniel Weyman. Also on hand was series newcomer, Stranger Things alum Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays Celeborn, Galadriel’s husband and co-ruler of Lothlorien. Simon Pegg has been added to the show, voicing The Balrog! He’s joined by Eddie Marsan as Thrain, Andrew Richardson as Anarion, and Adam Young as Marnûkh.

As seen in the new trailer, Middle-Earth has been thrown into war-torn chaos by the forces of Sauron. Set five years after events in season two, the Dwarves are in hiding, only pockets of resistance remain, and Sauron is constructing the all-powerful One Ring in hopes of bringing Men, Elves, Dwarves, and Wizards under his thrall.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season three hits Prime Video on November 11th.
