Three years have passed since Avengers: Endgame, not only one of the highest-grossing films of all-time but the end of the MCU’s Infinity Saga. The film saw Earth’s Mightiest Heroes forever changed; some died, some departed, and new heroes have risen to take their place. The assumption was that a fifth Avengers movie would take shape in the years since, but according to Marvel chief Kevin Feige, that isn’t gonna happen.
In the Eternals episode of Marvel Studios Assembled, Feige says outright that Avengers: Endgame is the last Avengers movie we’re gonna see…
“Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now past their tenth anniversary and with the release of the final Avengers movie, we’ve finally completed a 22-movie Infinity Saga,” Feige said.
Others have been examining the Hell out of his words but I think he’s being literal here. We might not see another Avengers film, but what if the word is preceded by “Dark”, “Secret”, or “Young”? It’s a brand, at this point, and Marvel won’t give up on it so easily. [CBR]
