Two ‘Red Notice’ Sequels To Shoot Back-To-Back With Original Cast And Director Returning

Red Notice was a guaranteed hit for Netflix, and it has worked out. The action heist comedy led by Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot might not have earned great critical reviews (it’s not a very good movie) but it has become one of their most watched movies ever. And so it was inevitable that a sequel to this franchise would happen, but in this case we’re getting two of them.

Deadline reports that a deal is nearing that would return Johnson, Gadot, and Reynolds, along with director Rawson Marshall Thurber, back for two Red Notice sequels. Surprisingly, the expectation is that they’ll shoot back-to-back beginning early next year.

So what kind of caper will reunite these three master criminals? We don’t know, but it’s expected that a larger ensemble will join the franchise, turning Red Notice into a heist series ala Ocean’s Eleven.

I’ve already forgotten what the Hell Red Notice was about. Something about golden Faberge eggs or something? Whatever. It shouldn’t be hard to come up with some new trinkets for these A-listers to hop around the world in search of.
