‘The Matrix: Resurrections’ First Look Images Revealed, Trailer Debuts This Thursday

It’s time to enter the Matrix again! Warner Bros. launched an interactive website for The Matrix: Resurrections today, and now only does it offer new teasers for fans who decide to choose between the red and blue pills, it also confirms the first trailer will debut on Thursday!

But that’s not all, because we also have the first look at Keanu Reeves’ return as Neo, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as…well, whoever his character might be. Speculation is that he plays a younger version of Laurence Fishburne’s Morpheus, and descriptions of one teaser seem to suggest that. In it, Abdul-Mateen’s character can be heard saying “This is the moment for you to show us what is real.”

Story details are still hidden in code. Reeves not only returns as Neo, but so does Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity and Jade Pinkett Smith as Niobe and Lamber Wilson as The Merovingian. They’re joined by Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra, and more. Lana Wachowski returns to direct this one solo, from a script she co-wrote.

The Matrix: Resurrections opens December 22nd.
