Noah Hawley’s ‘Alien’ Series Is Happening At FX On Hulu

Was Noah Hawley pulling our leg just a couple of weeks ago when he lamented that his long-developing Alien series was unlikely to happen? Maybe, maybe not. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter because it’s now on and happening at FX on Hulu. And not only that, but Ridley Scott is on board, too.

The Fargo and Legion showrunner will develop the first TV series based on Alien. Joining Hawley will be producer Ridley Scott, and it’s unclear if this will impact any plans he has to continue the franchise on the big screen. Scott’s most recent film was Alien:Covenant in 2017, and there had been talk of another prequel titled Alien: Awakening.

Details on the series are slim, but it will take place in the not-too-distant future on Earth, and will focus more on the humans than the xenomorphs. Although we can probably expect a chest-bursting or two at some point.

No word on when we can expect to see this Alien show, but this might be the thing that gives the franchise some new life and attract the audience it’s sorely been missing.
