‘Clifford The Big Red Dog’ Teaser Reveals The Beloved Oversized Canine

Paramount is trying to fetch some attention early for their upcoming Clifford the Big Red Dog film, which doesn’t open until next November. The first look at the beloved oversized canine has been revealed in a brief teaser celebrating man’s best friend. There’s no actual footage from the movie in it, but it’s cute nonetheless.

As you can see, Clifford will be rendered in CG, because there aren’t any house-sized dogs running around as far as I know. The film is directed by Walt Becker (Van Wilder) and stars Darby Camp, John Cleese, Jack Whitehall, Sienna Guillory, Izaac Wang, Kenan Thompson, and Rosie Perez.

SYNOPSIS: When middle-schooler Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp) meets a magical animal rescuer (John Cleese) who gifts her a little, red puppy, she never anticipated waking up to find a giant ten-foot hound in her small New York City apartment. While her single mom (Sienna Guillory) is away for business, Emily and her fun but impulsive uncle Casey (Jack Whitehall) set out on an adventure that will keep you on the edge-of-your-seat as our heroes take a bite out of the Big Apple. Based on the beloved Scholastic book character, Clifford will teach the world how to love big!

Clifford the Big Red Dog opens November 5th 2021.
