Martin Scorsese Inks Multiyear Deal With Apple For New Film And TV Projects

Apple, just days after inking Leonardo DiCaprio to develop film and TV projects, have now thrown down the big money to land his Killers of the Flower Moon director, Martin Scorsese.

The legendary Martin Scorsese is taking his talents to Apple on a multi-year deal to produce new projects through his Sikelia Productions banner. Apple is already releasing his upcoming film, Killers of the Flower Moon, at a reported cost of more than $160M so Scorsese knows they’ve got the cash to back whatever he can come up with.

There aren’t any details on what Scorsese has in store, but we should see him get back into TV where he found his greatest success with HBO’s Boardwalk Empire. He also produced the short-lived series Vinyl.

As for Killers of the Flower Moon, production should begin early next year. [Deadline]
