Saban Films has dropped the first trailer for In Cold Light, a thriller featuring the impressive cast of genre favorite Maika Monroe (Longlegs), Oscar winners Troy Kotsur (CODA) and Helen Hunt (As Good As It Gets). The film is directed by French-Canadian director Maxime Giroux in his English-language debut.
SYNOPSIS: Fresh out of prison, Ava (Maika Monroe) fights to reclaim her drug empire but is framed for murder, hunted by cops and a ruthless crime boss (Helen Hunt). Forced to face her estranged father (Troy Kotsur), she battles betrayal and bloodshed to survive.
Helen Hunt as a crime boss? Yes, please!
Monroe can also be seen this week opposite Emma Corrin in 100 Nights of Hero, and she’s about as reliable as it gets in the genre space, if you ask me. Kotsur was last seen earlier this year in the horror flick, Primate.
In Cold Light hits theaters on January 23rd 2026.
