The anticipation for Lynne Ramsay’s Die, My Love is through the roof. Her first film since the Joaquin Phoenix thriller You Were Never Really Here in 2017, her new psychological horror brings together the powerhouse trio of Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Pattinson, and LaKeith Stanfield, and now we have our first trailer.
Die My Love is an adaptation of Ariana Harwicz’s novel about a mentally ill woman (Lawrence) trapped by love and psychosis following a pregnancy. Pattinson plays her husband, while the rest of the cast includes Lakeith Stanfield, Sissy Spacek, Nick Nolte, Gabrielle Rose, Debs Howard, Sarah Lind, and Marcus Della Rosa.
Ramsay directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Alice Birch (The End We Start From) and Enda Walsh (Small Things Like These). Lawrence produces through her Excellent Cadaver label, with Martin Scorsese joining her.
“It’s impossible to convey what it’s like to witness Lynne Ramsay make art. She’s one of one,” notes an Excellent Cadaver statement.
Ramsay previously directed Ratcatcher, We Need to Talk About Kevin, and Morvern Callar. Coming up for Lawrence is Why Don’t You Love Me? for A24, and the Real Housewives-inspired thriller The Wives.
SYNOPSIS: Grace and Jackson, a young couple who move from New York City to Jackson’s rural childhood home in Montana, are in search of a quieter life.
