It doesn’t matter how far Jennifer Coolidge gets away from White Lotus, she still finds herself in the world of criminals. She shows up next in Dito Montiel’s dark comedy Riff Raff, starring alongside Ed Harris, Gabrielle Union, Pete Davidson, Lewis Pullman, and Bill Murray. Not too shabby.
The film stars Harris as a former mobster whose peaceful life is disrupted when his ex-wife and estranged family show up to warn him that two criminals from his past are out to get him.
There’s so much star power in Riff Raff that it’s not focused on Davidson and Murray as famed gangsters. Those two could carry a movie together easily. We’re also treated to the unusual sight of Harris and Union as a couple. Never thought I’d see that. As usual, it looks like it’ll be Coolidge who steals the show.
Also in the cast are Michael Covino, Miles J. Harvey, Emanuela Postacchini, and PJ Byrne.
Montiel has never had a problem gathering impressive talent for his films. He’s the director behind A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, Fighting, The Son of No One, Empire State, and many more.
