‘Lake George’ Trailer: Shea Whigham And Carrie Coon Take On The Mob In New Neo-Noir Thriller

It’s hard to find fault with any film that stars both Shea Whigham and Carrie Coon, two underrated actors who are great whether in supporting or in lead roles. In the darkly comic neo-noir thriller Lake George, we get to see them take the spotlight as two people playing a dangerous game to make some quick money.

Directed by Jeffrey Reiner (known for his TV work on The Affair), Lake George stars Whigham as a guy tasked by mobsters to kill Coon’s character. But when he’s unable to pull the trigger, the two decide on a dangerous gambit: team up to steal all of the money from the very people who wanted her dead.

Whigham and Coon are joined in the cast by Boardwalk Empire actors Max Casella and Glen Fleschler.

Magnet Releasing opens Lake George in select theaters and VOD on December 6th.
