‘AGGRO DR1FT’ Trailer: Harmony Korine’s Infrared Hitman Movie Hits Theaters This Week

When it comes to Spring BreakersThe Beach Bum, and Mister Lonely director Harmony Korine, expect the unexpected. His latest film AGGRO DR1FT might sound like a normal hitman movie about a hitman with a family who is trying to balance these wildly divergent aspects of his life. But what you actually get is a bunch of weird vibes and and a film that Korine has decided to shoot entirely in infrared.

The result is a psychedelic trip that is pretty tough to decipher. Reviews of AGGRO DR1FT have been pretty harsh, and there’s a bare minimum of buzz as promotion has been scarce. It doesn’t help that the film lacks the star power of Korine’s previous films which had big names such as Matthew McConaughey, James Franco, Selena Gomez, and Snoop Dogg.

Leading the cast are Jordi Molla and rapper Travis Scott.

Here’s the synopsis:Breaking away from the traditional parameters of cinema, AGGRO DR1FT explores the onslaught of digital ephemera and interrogates modern life through the vernacular of video games. Shot entirely through an infrared lens, the film follows a Miami Beach hitman as he embarks on the relentless pursuit of his next target.

AGGRO DR1FT opens in select theaters on May 10th.
