‘Arcadian’ Trailer: Nicolas Cage Faces A Nocturnal Nightmare In Post-Apocalyptic Thriller Debuting At SXSW

Nicolas Cage already has a busy year ahead of him with the buzzy horror film Longlegs. But Cage’s legion of fans will also want to keep an eye out for Arcadian, a post-apocalyptic thriller that is set to launch at SXSW in a few days. The first trailer has been released featuring Cage and his two young co-stars, Knives Out actor Jaeden Martell and Lost in Space‘s Maxwell Jenkins.

Here is the synopsis courtesy of RLJE Films, who acquired the film last year: In a near future, normal life on Earth has been decimated. Paul and his two sons, Thomas and Joseph, have been living a half-life – tranquility by day and torment by night. One day, Thomas doesn’t return home on time from a visit to his crush, the nearby farm girl, Charlotte. Paul chooses to leave the safety of their fortified farm, risking his life to find Thomas. Just as he finds his boy, a nightmarish battle ensues. Back at the house, Joseph is scared and all alone to defend himself against the nightly attack.

Behind the camera is Ben Brewer, who reunites with Cage after they worked together on The Trust in 2016. The script is by Michael Nilon.

After Arcadian‘s world premiere at SXSW, it’ll open in theaters on April 12th.
