Released in 2020, the home invasion thriller Becky is mainly remembered for the dark turn by Kevin James, who plays a Nazi ex-con. But the film was generally well-received, especially the lead performance by Lulu Wilson, and so she is back for the upcoming sequel, Wrath of Becky.
Taking place a few years later, Wrath of Becky finds the titular girl staying at a new home with a new guardian. But while some things change, some things stay the same, and it isn’t long before a new bunch of baddies are trying to break-in and hurt Becky’s new family.
Wilson is joined in the cast by Seann William Scott, Denise Burse, Jill Larson, Courtney Gains, Michael Sirow, Aaron Dalla Villa, Matt Angel, and Kate Siegel. Angel not only has a role in the film, but he co-directed with Suzanne Coote and also wrote the screenplay.
Like its predecessor, Wrath of Becky will have its world premiere at SXSW.
