‘Children Of The Corn’ Trailer: Horror Remake Of The Stephen King Classic Arrives Next Month

Released in 1984, Children of the Corn launched the longest-running series of Stephen King adaptations. The horror franchise now consists of nine total films, the most recent 2018’s Children of the Corn: Runaway, and two complete remakes. The second of those remakes has been sitting on the shelf since 2020, but is now finally set to hit theaters next month.

This new film is directed by Kurt Wimmer, who is well-known for directing the Matrix-esque film Equilibrium, as well as 2006’s Ultraviolet. Elena Kampouris, Kate Moyer, Callan Mulvey, and Bruce Spence lead the cast. For the most part, the premise remains the same. Here’s the synopsis:

Possessed by a spirit in a dying cornfield, a twelve-year-old girl in Nebraska recruits the other children in her small town to go on a bloody rampage and kill all the adults and anyone else who opposes her. A bright high schooler who won’t go along with the plan is the town’s only hope of survival.

Children of the Corn hits theaters on March 3rd, followed by VOD and digital on March 21st.
