Jonathan Majors To Play Dennis Rodman In ’48 Hours In Vegas’

It’s pretty tough to top playing time-hopping supervillain Kang the Conqueror as part of the MCU, but Jonathan Majors may have just found a way. That’s by taking on the role of larger-than-life NBA champion Dennis Rodman in 48 Hours in Vegas.

Deadline reports Majors will play Dennis Rodman in the film which chronicles his most infamous story, and that’s saying something for the notorious Chicago Bulls forward. The film will chronicle Rodman’s trip to Vegas in the middle of the 1998 NBA Finals against  a tough Utah Jazz squad. It was one of Rodman’s many distractions that nearly derailed the Bulls’ second threepeat as NBA Champions.

Expect to see such colorful figures as Rodman’s ex-wife Carmen Electra, Bulls head coach Phil Jackson, and GM Jerry Krause. And they sorta have to have Michael Jordan in there somewhere, right? And what about Hulk Hogan and the NWO, the heel wrestling stable Rodman joined during this time?

This episode was detailed wonderfully in the recent documentary, The Last Dance, and is worth checking out in full.

The film is penned by Jordan VanDina, with Phil Lord & Chris Miller aboard as producers. No director has been named yet.

Majors has Rodman’s look, the build, and now all he needs is the multi-colored hair and a nose ring.
