Charlie Cox’s Daredevil And Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin To Reunite In ‘Echo’ Disney+ Series

You asked for it. Well, maybe not YOU per se, but fans definitely did. THR reports (albeit without Disney confirmation) that Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio will be reunited as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in the upcoming Disney+ series, Echo. That show is a spinoff of the recent Hawkeye series starring Jeremy Renner.

In Hawkeye, we got to see Kingpin in action, so he’s already made the jump to the MCU. The same goes for Murdock, he gave some legal advice to Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, this will be the first time the two have been in the same project together, and that opens up some questions.

The big one is, “Does this mean the Daredevil series on Netflix is MCU canon”?  The answer to that question is annoyingly up-in-the-air. A new Daredevil series is apparently in the works, but we don’t know where it fits or if it’s even meant to. And what, if anything, does this mean for other Netflix shows such as Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones (interestingly retitled AKA Jessica Jones now on Disney+), Michael Colter’s Luke Cage, Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, and…that’s it, right? You say they made an Iron Fist show, too? I don’t believe you.

And how is Kingpin even alive? Didn’t Echo kill him after she realized he wasn’t a father figure but a villain? So many questions. Let’s hope for some answers soon.
