As someone who learned to cuss at a VERY early age, the origin of swear has never really been a concern. But I’m suddenly interested in the etymology of “fuck” and “shit” because Nicolas Cage is going to tell me all about it in Netflix’s upcoming series, History of Swear Words.
That’s right, Cage will enlighten us about the origins of expletives in Netflix’s six-episode docuseries. Cage will speak to historians, experts, actors, and comedians to learn about the words that provide our filthy language.
