Disney has big plans in store for Hexed, the Mouse House’s next animated feature hitting theaters this November. First announced last year at D23, the film was reintroduced at CinemaCon recently with some changes behind the camera, and an updated premise focusing on a special girl with magical abilities.
Hailee Steinfeld leads the Hexed voice cast as Billie, an “unconventional” teen girl, with Rashida Jones as her overprotective mother. When Billie discovers she has magical abilities, they lead her to the realm of witches known as Hexe, where family secrets connected to that world are uncovered.
Also in the voice cast are Tracey Ullman and Stephen Fry.
The film is co-directed by Jason Hand and Fawn Veerasunthorn. Veerasunthorn, who directed 2023’s Wish and worked on such hits as Frozen, Moana, and Zootopia, came aboard to replace Josie Trinidad who had been previously announced.
