‘Avengers: Doomday’ Teaser: Steve Rogers Returns To The MCU And He’s Got A Kiddo

Marvel Studios has been having issues with leaks lately. Chances are you’ve already seen the new teaser for Avengers: Doomsday as it’s been floating around the internet, or in front of Avatar: Fire and Ash. Well, now the footage is officially online and, while it doesn’t show much, it does show that Steve Rogers is back…and he’s got a baby in tow.

Chris Evans is back as Steve Rogers in Avengers: Doomsday, and he’s seen coddling a newborn baby…presumbably with Peggy Carter, played by Hayley Atwell? We don’t know for sure, but that’s what we’re left to assume since that’s what he stayed back in time to do, right?

As quiet and intimate as this trailer is, we know the actual film will be anything but. It will sport a massive ensemble that includes not only MCU veterans such as Evans, Mark Ruffalo, and Chris Hemsworth, but a new team led by Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson aka the current Captain America, plus the Thunderbolts* aka the New Avengers with Florence Pugh’s Black Widow, Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier, and more. And let’s not forget the flood of former Fox characters from the Fantastic Four and X-men.

Oh, and as the title suggests, the appearance of alpha villain Doctor Doom played shockingly by Robert Downey Jr.

There’s a lot this film will have to grapple with, not that you’d never know it.

Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18th 2026, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. That will be followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17th 2027.
