‘Marvel Zombies’ Trailer Reveals Brutal, Undead Versions Of The Avengers And Blade Knight

It feels like Marvel Zombies was announced a lifetime ago, but fans eager to see the zombified version of the MCU are about to get what they’ve been waiting for. A trailer for the upcoming Disney+ animated series and What If? spinoff has arrived, confirming that it’ll be rated TV-MA and a bit darker than Marvel Studios tends to be.

Originally a popular comic book series that was then proposed as a feature film, Marvel Zombies is a four-part miniseries from writer/director Bryan Andrews and The Avengers writer Zeb Wells. And as we frequently had in What If?, many of the original actors have returned to voice zombie versions of their characters.

Some of those voice actors include Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Tessa Thompson, Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Hailee Steinfeld, Wyatt Russell, Randall Park, Iman Vellani, Hudson Thames, and Dominique Thorne. Todd Williams voices a version of Blade who has taken the mantle of Moon Knight. Sorry, both Mahershala Ali and Oscar Isaac, I guess?

SYNOPSIS: After the Avengers are overtaken by a zombie plague, a desperate group of survivors discover the key to bringing an end to the super-powered undead, racing across a dystopian landscape and risking life and limb to save their world.

Marvel Zombies hits Disney+ on September 24th.
