When Warner Bros. Discovery went on its impromptu cost-cutting plan, the biggest film to get the axe was Batgirl, for obvious reasons. But the other high-profile film to get cut was Coyote vs. Acme, and it received a wave of fan and filmmaker support who demanded it get released? Why? Well, because those who saw it said it was actually good, but also because it was a finished product ready to roll into theaters or streaming. Ketchup Entertainment swooped in and rescued it back in March, and now the film has an official release date and some new images, revealed yesterday at San Diego Comic-Con.
Coyote vs. Acme will hit theaters on August 28th 2026. The live-action/animation hybrid comedy stars Will Forte, John Cena, Lana Condor, Luis Guzmán, and Tone Bell. It centers on Wile E. Coyote as he sues the Acme Corporation for all of those failed gadgets he’s used against the Road Runner.
The film is directed by Dave Green, best known for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and Earth to Echo.
SYNOPSIS: The film centers on Wile E. Coyote as he takes legal action against the Acme Corporation for the countless faulty products that have hindered his relentless pursuit of the Road Runner.
