‘Zootopia 2’ Teaser: Sequel To Disney’s Inclusive Animated Hit Arrives In November

It’s going to be very interesting the reaction to Disney’s Zootopia 2. I say that because the first film, a critically acclaimed billion-dollar hit for traditional Disney animation, arrived in early 2016 and delivered a charming, funny story of inclusion using anthropomorphic animals. Um, things have changed in the country since then and messages of diversity get met with threats from the White House. The current orange occupant already hates Disney and its chief Bob Iger, so let’s just see where this goes, shall we?

Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman return to voice police bunny Judy Hopps and sly fox Nick Wilde, respectively. Jared Bush, a co-writer on the previous film, takes over as co-director alongside the returning Byron Howard. Bush wrote the screenplay.

Other voices in the sequel are Quinta Brunson, Ke Huy Quan, Shakira, and Fortune Feimster.

SYNOPSIS: Detectives Judy Hopps (Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.

Zootopia 2 opens in theaters on November 26th.
