Taylor Sheridan Sets Black Ops Crime Thriller ‘F.A.S.T.’ Starring Brandon Sklenar

Taylor Sheridan has already established a television kingdom at Paramount with his Yellowstone universe of shows, along with other stuff such as Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, and Lioness. But it’s been a few years since his last feature film, 2021’s Those Who Wish Me Dead. Well, that’s about to change with the new film, F.A.S.T.

Variety reports Sheridan will write and produce F.A.S.T., a Black Ops crime flick to be directed by Ben Richardson. Richardson is a director on Sheridan’s Yellowstone prequel series, 1923.  The film will star Brandon Sklenar, also of 1923 so the Sheridan connections are strong. Sklenar has also starred recently in It Ends with Us, Drop, and Emily the Criminal.

Here’s the synopsis: “A former special forces commando who is tapped by drug enforcement officials to lead a black op strike team against CIA-protected drug dealers.”

The project is set up at Warner Bros., and it’s expected that Sheridan will do what he normally does pack F.A.S.T. with a star-studded ensemble. He’s got a wealth of talent to choose from just from actors he’s worked with previously.

“The breadth of Taylor Sheridan’s body of work is simply astounding and unparalleled in sheer excellence and consistent quality, and we could not be more honored to be making this film with him,” Warner Bros. co-chairs Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy said in a statement.
