‘Your Friends And Neighbors’: Jon Hamm, Olivia Munn, And Amanda Peet Star In Apple’s Crime Drama Series

If you read Jonathan Tropper’s book This is Where I Leave You or saw the 2014 adaptation directed by Shawn Levy, or saw Tropper’s road trip dramedy Kodachrome, you’d never think he’s also the guy who created hit action shows Banshee and Warrior. For his next series, Apple’s Your Friends and Neighbors, Tropper is leaning more towards human drama with a side of criminality.

Starring Jon Hamm, Amanda Peet, and Olivia Munn, Your Friends and Neighbors follows a newly-divorced hedge fund manager who becomes unemployed, but uses criminal methods to maintain the lifestyle he and his family are used to.

Also in the cast are Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Gravitt and Donovan Colan. Hamm is also an exec-producer, along with director Craig Gillespie who worked with Hamm on Million Dollar Arm.

SYNOPSIS: After being fired in disgrace, Andrew “Coop” Cooper (Hamm), a hedge fund manager still grappling with his recent divorce, resorts to stealing from the homes of his neighbors in the exceedingly affluent Westmont Village, only to discover that the secrets and affairs hidden behind those wealthy facades might be more dangerous than he ever imagined.

Your Friends and Neighbors hits Apple TV+ on April 11th, and Apple likes what they’ve got so much it’s already been renewed for season two.
