You probably already know that the kinetic action-comedy Novocaine hits theaters this Friday. I mean, my review is already available right here, and interviews with the cast are coming up soon. Paramount Pictures wants to get this film in front of as many eyeballs as possible, and for good reason. It’s just a lot of fun and a crazy wild ride. Anyway, to help get the word out they’ve dropped one more trailer for the film starring The Boys favorite, Jack Quaid.
Quaid is sort of having a moment right now. The actor is extremely popular for his recent roles in Scream, Companion, and Star Trek: Lower Decks. In Novocaine he plays mild-mannered Nathan Caine, a bank assistant manager who turns action hero to save the girl of his dreams. So what makes this movie so nutty? Well, Nate can’t feel pain, and he gets hit with some gnarly, gruesome shit that would make Wolverine howl in agony. It’s a cool way to change up the action movie formula, because you can do a lot more comedically with a painless everyman in way over his head.
The film is directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen. Quaid is joined in the cast by Amber Midthunder, Ray Nicholson, Betty Gabriel, Matt Walsh, and Jacob Batalon.
Novocaine hits theaters on March 14th!
