The career comeback of Josh Hartnett has been interesting to watch. The actor known for his heartthrob good looks and rom-com roles has stuck closely to genre films such as M. Night Shyamalan’s Trap, Guy Ritchie’s Operation Fortune, and Wrath of Man opposite Jason Statham. And now he moves to a B-movie style action flick with Fight or Flight, which finds a beach-blond Hartnett fighting his way through a plane full of assassins.
The film is directed by James Madigan from a screenplay by Brooks McLaren & actor D.J. Cotrona, known for his roles in Shazam, Dear John, and GI Joe: Retaliation where Madigan served as 2nd Unit Director.
SYNOPSIS: Exiled American agent Lucas Reyes (Josh Hartnett) is given one last chance to redeem himself – the assignment is to track down and identify a mysterious, international high-value asset known only as The Ghost on a flight from Bangkok to San Francisco. Complicating matters, the plane is filled with assassins from around the world who are assigned to kill them both. The pair must work together in a fight for their lives. At 37,000 feet, the stakes have never been higher.
Joining Hartnett in this John Wick-esque brawler are Katee Sackhoff, Charithra Chandran, Julian Kostkov, Rebecka Johston, and the awesome Marko Zaror from The Fist of the Condor and John Wick: Chapter 4.
Fight or Flight hits theaters on May 5th from Vertical.
