Full ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Cast Announced Including The Return Of Legacy X-Men Actors

Following Disney’s acquisition of Fox, Marvel Studios has slowly been incorporating its characters into the MCU. That exploded with last year’s Deadpool & Wolverine, and it’s going to continue big time with Avengers: Doomsday, which finds many original X-Men actors reprising their roles. Marvel’s livestream has been announcing the full cast to mark the start of production, and it will clearly rival Avengers: Endgame in size.

The first confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday is Kelsey Grammer who returns as Hank McCoy aka Beast.  He first played Beast in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand, and recently played a variant in The Marvels.

Also returning are James Marsden as the ultimate boyscout of the X-Men, Scott Summers aka Cyclops, Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, and Rebecca Romijn as Mystique. Stewart returned previously as a variant in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

We’ll also see Channing Tatum return as Gambit, such a scene-stealer in Deadpool & Wolverine last year.

Other Marvel vets filling out an absolutely huge roster are Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm aka The Invisible Woman, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson aka Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Letitia Wright as Shur aka Black Panther, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, Tenoch Huerta as Namor, Wyatt Russell as John Walker aka USAgent, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm aka The Thing, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova aka Black Widow, Lewis Pullman as Bob aka The Sentry, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres aka Falcon, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm aka Human Torch, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov aka Red Guardian, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, and Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic.

Avengers: Doomsday will be directed by the Russo Brothers from a script by Stephen McFeely. They’ve previously set an incredibly high bar, and Marvel needs them to meet or surpass it with these next two films.

Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on May 1st 2026.
