It was another wild CCXP over the weekend in Brazil, and the massive fan event capped off with new footage from Ballerina, the John Wick spinoff film starring Ana de Armas and featuring an appearance by Keanu Reeves. You can’t not have the Baba Yaga show up, right?
Ana de Armas, Ian McShane, Norman Reedus, and director Len Wiseman were on hand as Lionsgate debuted a behind-the-scenes featurette with never-before-seen footage. We also get a look at Reeves, who shows up a bit more than expected. Perhaps his role is bigger in Ballerina than we knew? Reeves was also part of pre-recorded fan greeting, alongside producer and John Wick director Chad Stahelski. Stahelski is widely rumored to have taken over as director during reshoots, but that has not been confirmed and probably never will be. That’s how these things tend to go. The script was written by Shay Hatten based on characters created by Derek Kolstad.
Here’s the synopsis: Taking place during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, the film follows Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas) who is beginning her training in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma.
From the World of John Wick: Ballerina hits theaters on June 6th 2025.
