Here’s an unlikely pairing. Ex-WWE champion John Cena and Emmy-winning comedian Eric Andre are teaming up to star in Little Brother, a comedy that’s in early development at Netflix.
So what could possibly bring these two together? Little Brother centers on a famous real estate agent whose carefully curated world is upended when his eccentric “little brother” unexpectedly reappears.
While it isn’t made specific, something tells me Andre is the little bro in this scenario. Although it might be funnier the other way around?
The film is written by Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel, known for their earlier comedies The D-Train and Yes Man. They also created the short-lived Rob Lowe series The Grinder. Aboard as a producer is Venom director Ruben Fleischer.
It’s been a busy year for Cena, who is set to embark on his farewell tour of WWE in 2025. He starred in the comedies Jackpot and Ricky Stanicky, plus Matthew Vaughn’s action film Argylle. Coming up next in the Mattel film Matchbox, followed by season two of James Gunn’s DC Comics series Peacemaker on Max.
Andre is known for his decade-long run on Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show, which earned him an Emmy Award. [Variety]
