‘Levels’ Interview: Cara Gee, Peter Mooney, And Director Adam Stern Ponder Existing In A Digital World

Adam Stern, Cara Gee, and Peter Mooney talk LEVELS

Are there any rules in a totally digital world? Can there be real human emotions? Can true love exist? These questions are pondered in Levels, the new sci-fi action film from Canadian director Adam Stern in his directorial debut.

The film stars Peter Mooney as Joe, a regular guy who witnesses the murder of his girlfriend Ash, played by fan-favorite The Expanse actress Cara Gee, by a stranger who vanishes without a trace. Unable to cope, Joe tries to end his own life but finds that he cannot. This sets him on an impossible quest to find out the truth about Ashe’s death, only to discover shocking revelations about himself and the world he lives in.

I was fortunate to spend a few minutes chatting with Adam Stern, Peter Mooney, and Cara Gee. As an admitted big fan of Gee, who I also liked in Call of the Wild, it was a real treat to spend a few minutes with her and talk about playing the mysterious Ashe, and finding chemistry with Mooney in such a special effects-heavy environment.  Stern is a visual effects wiz and Levels is his shot to show what he can do when behind the camera, so I wanted to chat with him about the new challenge that posed.

We also talked about their own feelings about the world and whether we exist in a Matrix or Levels-like virtual world. The answers might surprise you!

Levels is open in theaters now. Check out the interview below, and be sure to Subscribe to our YouTube channel!
