In Tom King’s Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic book series, the action is driven by a young alien girl, Ruthye Mary Knolle, who draws Supergirl into her quest for justice. We now know the role of Knoll in the upcoming movie adaptation will be played by 3 Body Problem actress Eve Ridley.
Deadline reports that Eve Ridley will play Ruthye Mary Knoll in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. The 12-year-old actress joins Milly Alcock who plays Kara Zor-el aka Supergirl, and Matthias Schoenaerts who was recently cast to play the villain, Krem.
In King’s comics run, Krem is a Kingsagent who murdered in cold blood the father of Ruthye Marye Knoll, a young alien girl who enlists Kara’s aid in exacting vengeance against him. The journey finds Kara coping with the destruction of her home planet Krypton by trying to help Ruthye shed her desire for revenge.
This will be Ridley’s biggest role yet in her young career. She’s been a star on the rise since playing Follower in 3 Body Problem, the sci-fi series from David Benioff, DB Weiss, and Alexander Woo.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow hits theaters on June 26th 2026, and directed by Craig Gillespie from Ana Nogueira’s screenplay.
