I’m going to share with you some sage advice. Long-distance relationships don’t work. Don’t bother trying. In the raunchy MAX comedy Sweethearts, two best friends give it a shot, and find out that what I’m saying is the truth.
Sweethearts stars Kiernan Shipka, known for her roles on Mad Men, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and Totally Killer. Joining her is Nico Hiraga, who stars in the Prime Video series The Power and the comedy Goodrich alongside Michael Keaton. They play best friends and college freshmen who make a pact to break up with their high school sweethearts back home before Thanksgiving.
Also in the cast are Caleb Hearon, Tramell Tillman, Ava Demary, Charlie Hall, Joel Kim Booster, and Christine Taylor. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Jordan Weiss, creator of the Hulu series Dollface starring Kat Dennings, and is writer of the upcoming Freaky Friday sequel, Freakier Friday. Weiss co-wrote the script with Dan Brier.
Sweethearts hits MAX on November 28th.
