‘Absolution’ Trailer: Liam Neeson’s Final (?) Action Flick Opens This Week

Earlier today, I posted my review of the latest Liam Neeson thriller, Absolution. With the Taken star talking about retirement from action movies, it could be the last time we see him in something like this. Unfortunately, I wasn’t too high on it despite Neeson’s strong performance, which is to be expected. That said, Neeson still has a lot of fans who will see anything he does, and if that’s true for you then this new trailer is one to check out.

Absolution hits theaters in two days, but Sony Pictures has dropped a new trailer for it anyway. Neeson plays a Boston gangster and ex-boxer suffering from memory loss who tries to leave crime behind and reconnect with his estranged family.

And how do you think his plan goes? Not well, naturally, otherwise there wouldn’t be much of a story to tell.

The film is directed by Norwegian filmmaker Hans Petter Moland, who worked with Neeson previously on Cold Pursuit. Others in the cast include Yolanda Ross, Frankie Shaw, Ron Perlman, and Daniel Diemer.

Absolution hits theaters on November 1st.

SYNOPSIS: An aging ex-boxer (Liam Neeson) working as muscle for a Boston crime boss (Ron Perlman) receives an upsetting diagnosis. Despite a faltering memory, he attempts to rectify the sins of his past and reconnect with his estranged children. He is determined to leave a positive legacy for his grandson, but the criminal underworld isn’t done with him and won’t loosen their grip willingly.
