Pixar’s ‘Inside Out’ Spinoff ‘Dream Productions’ Arrives This December, ‘Win Or Lose’ Moves To February 2025

Teased last summer at D23, Pixar’s two new animated television shows Dream Productions and Win or Lose, are seeing some slight changes. In short, they’ve flip-flopped expected release dates on Disney+, announced today in a new teaser for both animated shows.

Initially announced for this December, Win or Lose moves to February 19th 2025 on Disney+. Pixar’s first original series features Will Forte as one of the key voices. The eight-episode series directed, written and executive produced by Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates, and produced by David Lally, follows eight different characters – the insecure kids, their helicopter parents, even a lovesick umpire – as they prepare for a championship softball game.

Perfectly-timed to coincide with the Disney+ premiere of Inside Out 2, the highest-grossing animated movie ever, Pixar has announced the four-episode spinoff series Dream Productions has moved up to December 11th 2024. The series takes place in the studio inside Riley’s mind where dreams really do come true thanks to acclaimed dream director Paula Persimmon (voice of Paula Pell).

Written and directed by Mike Jones, Dream Productions features the voices of Richard Ayoade, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Alli Maki, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black and Phyllis Smith.

“These two series really show Pixar creativity at its finest,” Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter said in a statement. “We’re excited fans won’t have to wait long for more great content from the world of ‘Inside Out.’ ‘Dream Productions’ offers up a treasure trove of jokes and fun as it digs deeper into one of our favorite parts of the first film, the making of Riley’s dreams. And we consider ‘Win or Lose’ a major, first-of-its-kind tentpole series, one that really showcases what I think makes our studio great: bold, imaginative storytelling; laugh-out-loud humor; and characters that we can all relate to.”
