Good news, local cinephiles! Emilia Perez, one of the year’s most acclaimed films and a Cannes award winner that many see as the Best Picture frontrunner, will be the Spotlight at next month’s Middleburg Film Festival. You won’t want to miss it. Jacques Audiard (Rust & Bone, A Prophet) directs Karla Sofía Gascón, Zoe Saldaña, Selena Gomez, Adriana Paz, and Edgar Ramírez in the musical comedy about the connection between four women seeking happiness, among them an unappreciated attorney and a cartel boss.
