‘Alien: Earth’ Teaser Reveals A Xenomorph In Noah Hawley’s Prequel Series

It’s been a long time coming, but the first teaser for Noah Hawley’s Alien: Earth prequel series has arrived. The brief bit of footage reveals, what else, a xenomorph, with Earth reflected in the shine of its exoskeleton.

FX has also revealed the first official synopsis:

“When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in FX’s highly anticipated TV series Alien: Earth from creator Noah Hawley.”

Joining Chandler in the ensemble are Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille and Moe Bar-El.

Alien: Earth has no connection to Fede Alvarez’s Alien: Romulus, which is in theaters now and performing well. We could be seeing an Alien renaissance, especially if Hawley can find the same level of success he’s had on his previous shows Fargo and Legion. A long-running series would have to eventually draw some connection to the movies, wouldn’t it? Or perhaps it could lead to a movie of its own?

Hulu will premiere Alien: Earth in 2025.
