‘Teacup’ Teaser: James Wan’s Horror Series Hits Peacock In Time For Halloween

Before James Wan takes on his next horror film, which looks like it’ll be a remake of Creature from the Black Lagoon, he’ll do his thing on the small screen with Peacock’s new series, Teacup. Wan produces through his Atomic Monster label, with Ian McCulloch (Yellowstone) aboard as writer and showrunner.

Starring Yvonne Strahovski, Scott Speedman, and Chaske Spencer, Teacup is set in rural Georgia who must join together to face a mysterious threat. The show is based on Robert McCammon’s book, Stinger, which involves the arrival of a spacecraft and an extraterrestrial into a struggling Texas town. However, McCullock has promised to depart from the source material, which should make this a new experience for everyone.

Others in the cast include Kathy Baker, Boris McGiver, Caleb Dolden, Emilie Bierre, and Luciano Leroux. E.L. Katz (The Haunting of Bly Manor) directed the first two episodes.

Teacup premieres on Peacock with the first two episodes on October 10th. Check out the teaser below.

SYNOPSIS: TEACUP follows a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive. Inspired by the New York Times bestselling novel Stinger by Robert McCammon.
