‘Twisters’: Anthony Ramos The Latest To Join ‘Twister’ Sequel

With Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and Marvel’s Ironheart series coming up, Anthony Ramos has landed another studio franchise. Deadline reports the In the Heights actor has joined Twisters, Universal and Amblin’s sequel to Twister, the 1996 storm chasin’ blockbuster that featured Bill Paxon and Helen Hunt.

There’s a great cast of rising stars attached already, as Ramos joins Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell in the Twisters cast. The film will have a screenplay by The Revenant writer Mark L. Smith, Minari helmer Lee Isaac Chung directing.

Twisters opens in theaters on July 19th 2024.
