*SPOILERS* Is Wesley Snipes Now Openly Campaigning To Lead A ‘Blade’ Reboot?

It’s been obvious for a long time that Wesley Snipes wants to play Blade again. And given the problems Marvel has had getting a new film led by Mahershala Ali off the ground. Well, it made Snipes’ line from Deadpool & Wolverine feel like a statement of fact, not just a punchline…

“There’s only been one Blade. Only ever gonna be one Blade.”

Following Snipes’ return as Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine, a fantastic performance and a great guest spot I might add, has the actor decided to openly campaign for Marvel to cancel the planned reboot? Sure looks that way.

Snipes shared an article asking for Marvel to ditch the Mahershala Ali-led Blade reboot, and to reinstate him as the Daywalker…

Is it possible that Snipes is kidding around here? Sure, but there’s some truth in every joke and I think we all know he’d leap at the chance to return for a new set of Blade films in the MCU. He looks in terrific shape and could definitely handle the physicality of such a comeback. I hope it happens, personally. A new trilogy where Snipes could pass the torch at the end would be amazing. It just feels like the right thing to do at this stage. The Ali reboot has already soured in the minds of fans, so why not just give them what they (and Snipes) really want?
