‘Never Let Go’ Trailer: Halle Berry Ventures Into Evil To Save Her Son In Alexandre Aja’s New Thriller

With just days away from Never Let Go‘s world premiere at Fantastic Fest, there’s little incentive to start revealing too much now. Up to this point, Alexandre Aja’s survival horror has been kept secret so tight you’d think JJ Abrams was behind it. Even with the new trailer released today, there’s still a lot that we don’t know, and that makes its upcoming release more exciting.

Oscar winner Halle Berry stars in Never Let Go as a mother looking to protect her twin sons from an evil that has gripped the world outside their doorstep. So what does Mom do? She keeps her sons out of trouble and off the grid, connecting them at all times by a long rope. One thing we do learn is that Berry’s character has her family say an odd prayer to the house before venturing outside. When one of her sons ventures too far, it’s up to Mom to head into danger to find him

The film also stars Percy Daggs IV and Anthony B. Jenkins.

Aja directs from a screenplay by Kevin Coughlin and Ryan Grassby. Shawn Levy (Real SteelDeadpool & Wolverine) is among the producers.

Never Let Go opens in theaters on September 20th.
