‘Regretting You’: Dave Franco The Latest To Join Next Colleen Hoover Adaptation

The jets are running full blast on the next Colleen Hoover adaptation, Regretting You, following the highly successful $80M global debut of It Ends with Us. With Allison Williams and McKenna Grace already cast in the film just days ago, Deadline now reports that Dave Franco has joined them.

Regretting You “centers on the complex relationship between Morgan Grant (Williams) and her daughter, Clara. Morgan became a mother at a young age, putting her own dreams on hold to raise Clara. As Clara grows into a teenager, their relationship becomes strained, especially after a tragic accident claims the life of Chris, Morgan’s husband and Clara’s father.”

The film will be directed by Josh Boone, known for The Fault in Our Stars ,The New Mutants, and Stephen King’s The Stand. Susan McMartin (Mr. Church) adapted the screenplay.

Franco will play Morgan’s love interest, Jonah.

Earlier this year, Franco starred opposite Kristen Stewart in Love Lies Bleeding. He recently directed Somebody I Used to Know, and will return next year for Now You See Me 3. He’ll also produce and star in the indie horror Together alongside his wife Alison Brie.

No word on when production starts on Regretting You but at this rate it won’t be long.
