Take this with a grain of salt because plans can change and there may be some deception afoot, but it’s looking as if Jurassic World Rebirth will be the title of the upcoming sequel/reboot of the long-running franchise.
World of Reel caught on to Amblin Entertainment filing multiple trademarks under Jurassic World Rebirth, which suggests that something big is happening with that title. Companies file lots of trademarks, though, and it could be for anything. A new animated series for instance, or a video game. But it would make some sense, considering this next film is seen as a soft reboot and not just a sequel to Jurassic World: Dominion. There will be brand new characters, locations, and dinosaurs to scurry away from. Rumors are the next story will take place in a major metropolis, which promises lots of property damage.
Gareth Edwards (The Creator) stepped up to direct the film, just days after David Leitch (The Fall Guy) dropped out. Franchise vet David Koepp is on the screenplay. Mahershala Ali, Scarlett Johansson,Rupert Friend, Jonathan Bailey, Luna Blaise, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo are set to star. Don’t expect to see any of the old favorites this time around.
Assuming this is all true, Jurassic World Rebirth hits theaters on July 2nd 2025.
