There’s still a lot we don’t know about Jordan Peele’s next movie. We know pretty much nothing at this point, as it’s been kept secret like all of his projects have been until he’s ready to divulge the information. But there’s one thing we do know now, and it’s when we can expect to see the film in theaters.
Once scheduled for Christmas 2024, Peele confirmed on social media that his next film will arrive on October 23rd 2026. So the Halloween season should put this squarely in the crosshairs of horror fans. Peele’s films; Get Out, Us, and Nope have always had a horror/thriller edge but with social consciousness in mind. His movies can scare you while having something to say, as well.
So why do we still know so little about what Peele is working on? Announced in 2023, the film was quickly hit with massive delays due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes.
“I do feel like my next project is clear to me,” Peele told Conan O’Brien back in January. “and I’m psyched that I have another film that could be my favorite movie if I make it right.”
Before Peele’s untitled film arrives, he will produce through his Monkeypaw Productions banner Justin Tipping’s Him, which stars Marlon Wayans as a legendary quarterback who recruits a promising young athlete to train at his isolated compound. That film arrives in September 2025 and also stars Tyriq Weathers and Julia Fox. Peele also produced Dev Patel’s hit action flick, Monkey Man, earlier this year.
