‘El Paso, Elsewhere’: LaKeith Stanfield In Talks To Star In Vampire Shooter Video Game Adaptation

With video game adaptations the hot ticket right now, another one is on the way that could star LaKeith Stanfield. Deadline reports the Oscar nominee is in talks to star in and produce El Paso, Elsewhere, based on the hit third-person shooter vampire game published by Strange Scaffold.

The game and the movie would center on James Savage, a drug-addicted vampire hunter who is tracking down his ex-girlfriend, a vampire, before she can unleash a world-destroying plot. To do it he’ll have to navigate her strange, reality-bending world of ethereal creatures, while also confronting his own addictions.

El Paso, Elsewhere is largely inspired by Max Payne, and takes place in a seedy motel. It’ll be interesting to see if the movie expands the locations a bit more.

Stanfield received his Oscar nomination for Judas & the Black Messiah. He was most recently seen in The Book of Clarence and Disney’s Haunted Mansion.
