‘Beef’ Season 2 Eyes Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, Charles Melton, & Cailee Spaeny

The hit Netflix series Beef was initially planned as a limited event, but after winning multiple awards, including over the weekend at the Indie Spirits and PGAs, it’s coming back for season two. And this time around it’ll tackle an even larger feud, allowing for multiple big stars to join the cast.

According to Deadline, Beef creator Lee Sung Jin is eyeing Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny for season two. Damn. Frankly, I don’t think any of these actors needs an introduction, but especially Gyllenhaal and Hathaway. Melton is coming off an acclaimed performance in May December that many feel was Oscars worthy. There are those out there saying the same about Spaeny and her performance in Priscilla.

The report states that this season will center on two warring couples. Assuming Gyllenhaal and Hathaway are one, they should have good chemistry after starring in Love & Other Drugs together years ago.

Talks are in the very early stages, but assuming this all comes together, Beef is shaping up to be even hotter than before.
