‘A Complete Unknown’: Elle Fanning Joins Timothée Chalamet In James Mangold’s Bob Dylan Biopic

After a long delay due to the pandemic and a little thing called Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, James Mangold’s Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown is gearing up to shoot this summer. With Timothée Chalamet and Monica Barbaro already aboard, Deadline reports that Elle Fanning is the latest to join the cast.

Fanning is set to play university student and artist Sylvie Russo, a love interest of Dylan’s in the 1960s. Chalamet has snagged the lead role of the iconic singer in his early, formative years.

Over the last three years, Fanning has kept busy leading Hulu series The Great. She hasn’t starred in a feature film since 2020’s All the Bright Places, so it’ll be good to see her getting back in the groove on one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
