The Latest Episode Of ‘The Mandalorian’ Features The Nuttiest Guest Stars Yet, And One Surprise Return

This week’s episode, titled “Guns For Hire” is guaranteed to be the most talked about of the season. Hell, the episode has only been available for a couple of hours and it already is. Not because it continues a run of consistency since Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff) took center stage, but because of the absolutely insane guest stars, and one surprise return, that has people buzzing on social media.

The episode finds Din Djarin, Grogu, and Bo-Katan journeying to an opulent world to recruit her former crew of Mandalorians, who are now mercenaries led by Axe Woves. What the trio find instead is that the land is in the midst of a serious droid problem. Taken to a lavish party, they find that those in charge are played by none other than…Lizzo (!)…and Jack Black (!!)…and they’re a couple!!!

The pairing of Lizzo and Jack Black has fans going absolutely nuts online.

But that’s not all.

Also appearing in this episode is Back to the Future LEGEND Christopher Lloyd as a cynical Commissioner. Lloyd’s casting was already known but it’s still wild to see him as part of Star Wars.

Finally, Mercedes Varnado aka Sasha Banks aka Mercedes Moné, returns as the Mandalorian known as Koska Reeves. Varnado had flat out denied that she was coming back this season, so either she was toying with her considerable number of fans, or this was a decision made fairly recently. Unfortunately, Reeves doesn’t get anything to say just yet, but with the Mandalorians such a huge part of this season there should be plenty of opportunity for that.
