Yesterday was Valentine’s Day, a time to celebrate romances of every kind. Even the crazy, toxic ones. And such is definitely the case when it comes to Joker and Harley Quinn. So what better time to drop the first look at Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie à Deux?
The image features Gaga’s Harley Quinn, sans makeup, face-to-face with Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck, who is sporting traces of his Joker makeup and a wicked smile. I daresay this might be the moment when their twisted union is forged.
We know that Todd Phillips’ sequel will take place mostly in Arkham Asylum, which is where we will presumably be introduced to Dr. Harleen Quinzel before she becomes Joker’s psychotic paramour.
Also in the cast is Zazie Beetz, reprising her role from the previous film, along with Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey.
Joker: Folie à Deux hits theaters on October 4th 2024.
